You can either take the M3 Blue Line from the Dimotiko Theatro Station to Syntagma Station, from where you can transfer to the M2 Red Line and get off at the Akropoli Station. You can also walk from Syntagma Station to the Acropolis entrance.
You can also take the M1 Green Line from the Piraeus Subway Station to Monastiraki Station in the city center. The main entrance to the Acropolis is 750 meters (0.46 mile) from the Monastiraki Station on foot.
At the port end, the Dimotiko Theatro Station is closer to the cruise terminals than Piraeus Station. It is 1.5 kilometers (0.93 mile) from Cruise Terminal A, about a 22 minute walk. Cruise Terminal B to Cruise Terminal A is a 15-minute walk, for a total of 37 minutes to the station.

While the walk from the terminals to the subway stations is generally safe (with benches to rest), it does take time, and if you have baggage, the walk will likely be a drag. There are local buses that can take you from the port gates to the metro stations if you are planning to travel light.
Once at either metro station, there are frequent departures and the ride into the city center is quick.
On the plus side, a 90-minute metro ticket currently costs just €1.20, making it a very budget-friendly option of transferring from the Athens Cruise Port to the Acropolis.
