1. Metropolis Roof Garden Restaurant

The Metropolis Roof Garden Restaurant features a spectacular view of the Acropolis of Athens and the city. The view of the Acropolis from the terrace is unobstructed and fairly close, making for a fantastic backdrop to your meal here.

The restaurant is located on the 10th floor terrace of the Electra Metropolis Hotel, a 5-star hotel in the heart of Athens.

The Metropolis Roof Garden offers a Mediterranean menu, with meat, seafood, and vegetarian options. Dishes are innovative while showcasing Greek roots. Signature cocktails and wine selections are also offered.

Located on Mitropoleos Street, the Metropolis Roof Garden is a short walk from Syntagma Square and is also easily accessed using public transport.

The restaurant is open daily from 12 noon until 11 p.m., and also offers breakfast in the morning. Reservations are recommended, especially for dinner.

2. Electra Palace Roof Garden

The Electra Roof Garden Restaurant has an unobstructed and fairly close view of the Acropolis, so it’s a great choice for a meal with Acropolis views. The covered terrace is large, with plenty of seating.

The restaurant is housed on the 8th floor of the 5-star Electra Palace Hotel.

The restaurant offers innovative Mediterranean fusion cuisine, plus a long list of wines. Dishes incorporate local ingredients and are crafted with care. Vegetarian options are available.

Located in the heart of the historic Plaka district of Athens, the Electra Palace Roof Garden Restaurant is a short walk from Syntagma Square.

3. Kuzina

Kuzina is a charming restaurant housed in a mansion that boasts a terrace with a spectacular view of the Acropolis of Athens.

Recommended by the Michelin Guide for many years, Kuzina offers Greek cuisine that’s a taste-tickling blend of the traditional and the inventive.

Chef Aris Tsanaklidis, who leads Kuzina’s culinary team, trained at the Culinary Institute of America and worked at many renowned restaurants worldwide before he returned home to Greece in 1992.

Kuzina’s menu changes twice a year and you can opt for the degustation menu or choose from the à la carte offerings. The restaurant also has an extensive wine list, or you can enjoy cocktails.

Kuzina’s famous tarazza is open from April to October and offers you the opportunity to dine under the moon and the stars whilst enjoying the perfect view of the illuminated Acropolis.

Located on charming Adrianou Street in the heart of the city, Kuzina is easy to access, whether you choose to walk or take public transport.

4. Dolli’s Rooftop Restaurant

With an unobstructed and not too distant view of the Acropolis of Athens, Dolli’s Rooftop Restaurant is perfect for a leisurely dinner with a view.

As you dine, you can look out over many of the best parts of the complex, including the Parthenon, the Ancient and Roman Agoras, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Tower of the Winds, the Temple of Hephaestus, and Philopappos Hill.

Dolli’s Rooftop Restaurant is housed inside The Dolli Hotel, which is housed in a restored historic mansion.

The restaurant offers both Greek and Asian-inspired fare, whipped up by the chef in full view of guests in the dining room. The wine list is extensive. Dolli’s is a Michelin Guide restaurant.

Located on Mitropoleos Street in the heart of Athens, Dolli’s is an easy walk from Syntagma Square and also easily accessed by public transport.

Dolli’s is open everyday from 1 p.m. until 4.30 p.m. for lunch and from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m. for dinner. Reservations are a must, especially for dinner.

5. Hytra

Hytra Restaurant & Bar has one Michelin star and an enviable location on the top floors of the Onassis Cultural Centre. It offers 360-degree views over the city, including the iconic Acropolis.

It is the perfect spot for a romantic dinner if you are looking to celebrate with your significant other on your Athens trip!

Hytra offers Greek classics with a modern twist, with authentic Greek ingredients and herbs grown in the restaurant’s own kitchen garden. Every dish is meticulously crafted and presented with flair. The wine list is extensive as well.

Located on Petrou Kokkali Street, Hytra can be accessed via public transport, but it’s more convenient to take a taxi or a rideshare.
